1982 My Little Pony G1 Cotton Candy Nirvana Vintage Toy Restoration Argentina MLP Hasbro Top Toys

This My Little Pony Cotton Candy was made in 1982 by Hasbro, Top Toys in Argentina (so it s a Nirvana pony). It made it across the Atlantic, rust and all, and I knew in an instant I had to rescue it. This video documents the long and arduous process of making that happen :) The culprit was a completely rustedoutofexistence tail washer. The treatment, several soaks, toothpaste, oxi baths, and cream peroxide treatment in UV light. I also repinked its hair with dye to match the original color. Unfortunately, after much effort, the pony tail had to be exchanged for a donation one. I wouldn t normally do this for a Nirvana pony, but this Cotton Candy is going to stay with me and was long considered lost by its previous owners.
