Bon Jovi, Live at Praça da Apoteose, Hollywood Rock Festival, Rio de Janeiro 1990

On January 27th 1990, Bon Jovi played their second ever concert in South America at the Hollywood Rock festival in Rio de Janeiro. By this point, the band was a trainwreck, both physically and mentally. All of them were drinking all the time, David had contracted a potentially life threatening parasite, Alec had been sick for over a month and Jon was so unsettled that he kept travelling back and fourth between the US and South America on this leg because he couldn t stand the idea of not doing anything for a few days. All were a mess and still they put on a highly energetic show For a long time, I ve turned down all requests on remastering this show and when I decided to give it another try, I realized again why. I ve no idea who edited it, but I ve seen this video described as put together by someone smoking pot and I gotta agree.
