Réunion, lîle aux miels
Haut lieu de la biodiversité, l île de la Réunion abrite une faune et une flore exceptionnelles. Elle héberge notamment de multiples espèces d abeilles, lesquelles font le bonheur des apiculteurs. Miel de baies roses, de litchis, de forêt, et le fameux miel de tan Sur le territoire, les quelques mille éleveurs d abeilles produisent toute l année de nombreuses variétés de miel. Mais depuis 2017, l île est en alerte. Un mal venu d ailleurs menace les ruchers de l île. Un parasite que l on appelle Varroa destructor. Personne ne sait vraiment comment il est arrivé, mais le Varroa est capable de tuer des colonies entières d abeilles et a déjà fait des victimes partout dans le monde. Sur l île, les apiculteurs ont décidé de réagir pour tenter de limiter l invasion, car, si rien n est fait, les abeilles n en auraient plus que pour quelques années
