Sergio Odair Assad plays the 2nd Ciclo Nordestino for two guitars, written by Marlos Nobre in 1982 in five parts: 1. Batuque; 2. Praiana; 3. Carretilha; 4. Sêca; 5. Xenhenhém. They recorded it for EMI Angel and on Nonesuch Records. The duo Assad played the world premiere of the work on october 23, 1982 in Paris.
