London. Various shots of a boy dress designer, 11yearold Leslie Gordon at work. He sketches ideas for ladies fashions, then cuts out dress shapes from fabric, using a pattern. He pins the pieces together, then sits at a sewing machine and starts to use it. We are told his only guidance in this interest has been in machining, taught him by his tailor father. C, U of a small scale wedding outfit he has previously made on a doll. We then see Leslie looking through several small and fullsized garments he has created, with the wedding doll in the background.
