Diego Armando Maradona, also known as El Pibe de Oro ( The Golden Boy ), was an iconic yet controversial professional football player. He was born was in one of the most povertystricken places in Argentina, Villa Fiorito, where he would spend his days playing with a ball. Maradonas talent did not go unnoticed, at the age of 9 he began his career playing and breaking records with Argentinos Juniors.
