UK: Protesters set fires and throw Molotov cocktails at police in Belfast
Subscribe to our channel Fiery protests hit the streets of Belfast on Friday evening, with protesters seen throwing projectiles and Molotov cocktails at law enforcement, as unrest continued across Northern Ireland. Protesters set a car on fire and hurled Molotov cocktails at police officers, present in force. Debris could be seen covering the streets of Belfast following days of protests. Local reports say over 40 police officers have been injured, and at least 10 arrests have been made in the last few days mainly in unionist or loyalist areas. Protests were sparked after authorities decided not to prosecute the Sinn Fein party for their alleged violations of COVIDmeasures at republican Bobby Storey s funeral last year. Brexit policies have also contributed to rising tensions, with the Good Friday Agreement threatened by the strained EUUK trade deal. ,UK, Belfast, Molotovcocktails, protest Video ID: 20210409071 Video on Demand: Con
