Planes For The Middle East (1942)
Titles read: PLANES FOR THE MIDDLE EAST. West Coast of Africa. Flashback to before the Second World War as we see African men working to clear palm trees and swamp land to make way for an aerodrome in this area. Then we see various shots from the present day of large crates being pulled by trucks onto the aerodrome tarmac. Hurricane fighter planes are unloaded from the crates and assembled by mechanics and locals, then wheeled into position. The newly built Hurricanes rev up and take off. Blenheim aircraft taxis for take off; it will lead the formation of Hurricanes across the African Bush to the Middle East.
