Danish 1889, 10 Krag POV firing
Original Danish Model 1889 Krag made at the Copenhagen Arms Manufactory in 1909, and chambered for 8x58R. Shortly afterwards it received the 1910 updates for the new spitzer cartridge. This particular example is unit marked to the Danish Livgarden, which as far as I understand were royal guards. The earliest, strangest, and leastremembered member of the Krag family, the Danish 1889 maintains the usual Krag smoothness, but has other unusual features like the forwardswinging loading gate and the barrel jacket.
