A huge magnetic filament connected to sunspot AR3613 erupted today (02:05 UTC, Two subsequent CMEs were identified in SOHO, LASCO C2 imagery following the eruption. The first was signature to the SSE beginning 17, 03:12 UTC, and the second was a signature to the SW beginning 17, 03:36 UTC. Analysis and modeling of the event is ongoing.
