She Gets Her Man (1945) Joan Davis Leon Errol

When a pair of blowgun murders remain unsolved, the town of Clayton seeks out the daughter of legendary police chief Ma Pilkington. Unfortunately Jane Pilky Pilkington (Joan Davis) is less than a chip off the old block. She teams up with officer Mulligan (Leon Errol) to solve the case. However, the two get nowhere. The town calls in a Chicago detective who fails to prevent a theater producer from becoming the next victim, so Pilky gets another chance to prove her worth as a sleuth.
