Up Above The World So High (1933)
Even over mountains eternally covered with snow, man is spanning these Austrian Alps with his cable Moving shot from a cable car of a snowy mountainside and other car moving away from the camera. M, S of the car moving along the track it is a small box carrying cargo rather than passengers. At the valley Station, the railway uses a cable of 12, 600 feet to reach the top of the mighty M, S of men at the top of the mountain winding a large handle which operates the cable system. Camera tilts up to show the construction from which the cable cars set off. A man is balanced precariously on one of the cables. M, S of men balanced on top of the machinery. Not the best of places from which to take a picture The intrepid cameraman sits on top of the small box with his hand wound camera. He is lifted up and away from the camera which films him. We then see the point of view shot of the cameraman on the cable car we see the bottom of the route. Men wave at the camera. Movi
