Up Above The World So High (1933)

Even over mountains eternally covered with snow, man is spanning these Austrian Alps with his cable Moving shot from a cable car of a snowy mountainside and other car moving away from the camera. M, S of the car moving along the track it is a small box carrying cargo rather than passengers. At the valley Station, the railway uses a cable of 12, 600 feet to reach the top of the mighty M, S of men at the top of the mountain winding a large handle which operates the cable system. Camera tilts up to show the construction from which the cable cars set off. A man is balanced precariously on one of the cables. M, S of men balanced on top of the machinery. Not the best of places from which to take a picture The intrepid cameraman sits on top of the small box with his hand wound camera. He is lifted up and away from the camera which films him.
