Insta: Final part of the build. First we set up shuttering making absolute sure there was no way it could move even with all the weight of the wet concrete. Next we put down a Damp Proof Membrane which prevents moisture coming into contact with the concrete from below, which can cause the pad to fail. Then we drilled holes in the shuttering to insert Rebar which will eventually tie all the pads together and prevent them from heaving up next to each other. Finally we mixed and poured the concrete slabs. Obviously the smart way to do this is to buy a Ready Mix, and do it all in one run, but to keep things cheap and be able to leave all the tools and machinery covered on the other half of the workshop, we hand mixed each section. it took a long long time. 1 day for each slab. 2 weeks to cure, and Bob s your uncle br, br,
