Prevent Pre ignition with the Latest Motorcraft Gasoline Engine Oils, Ford Tech Talk

Some gasoline engines especially EcoBoost engines can experience a condition called preignition, when combustion occurs before the spark plug fires. Preignition can cause engine knock, or in extreme cases, even lead to a loss of performance or engine damage. One way to help prevent preignition is to use motor oil formulated for that purpose.
