Jeremy and Laura teach Tabby the Cat inside Lindy Hop

Tabby the Cat We love incorporating classic Jazz movements into our Lindy Hop. Our inspiration for choosing this movement came from a short film called Tabby the Cat where Dean Collins is a featured dancer and from his version of the Shim Sham. The interesting thing to note is that Dean Collins originally learned to dance at the Savoy Ballroom in Harlem even though he is often associated with LA style Swing. Furthermore, this movement definitely incorporates African American style movement which he probab
