How to fix the USB connector on a POD HD500

I had a problem with my POD HD500 which I found is pretty common among this multieffect unit. The USB connector has a small center piece that broke off, leaving the USB pins exposed and ultimately bent. It worked for a while but eventually it failed. Plus, the USB plug wasn t holding properly. I bought a replacement off ebay for like two dollars and replaced it myself. This video shows the steps.
