A team of resource personnel were travelling to address participants of ecovolunteer training program held at We started early in the morning from Mysuru and headon towards BR Hills through K. Gudi road, Which is our favorite route as we get to see a lot of bird activities there. After travelling few kilometers from the forest check post we spotted two male Indian Gaur bulls. By the look and built it was clear that one was very young and the other was old (It had lost one eye sight due to some reason). They were showing off their power and were preparing for a fight. This FIGHT for the Right to mate is common among animals. Though we could not witness the whole sequence we experienced the fearsome sound made by them. The young bull was very ferocious and intolerant even at the presence of jungle fowl.
