To Jóhanna Guðrún s unbelievable impressive rendition of Whitney Houston s megahit I Will Always Love You, only one thought comes into my mind: For more than 10 years I have been wondering why Jóhanna Guðrún isn t the big international star she should have to be. As you can see in this video, Jóhanna has all the prerequisites such as an uncomparable beautiful voice, huge singing abilities, beauty and charm to be much, much more than just an admittedly big national star in her small homeland Iceland. It almost seems to me as if the decision makers in the international music branch are so preoccupied with counting their money that they have no more time for the crux of their own business, the music and that they simply ignore such huge talents In my opinion, they have failed miserably in Jóhanna s case That s a shame and the only one point in relation to my favorite singer that makes me as angry as it makes me sad.
