Aphex Twin Vordhosbn ( Cover), , Live Band

In November 2019 we released our humble rework of Aphex Twin s Vordhosbn. Luckily we had a camera in the room when we tracked it. What you see here is the actual take live, no overdubs, no samples. Just guitar, bass and acoustic drums triggering an analogue synth. Beautifully captured by Fred Iles, embellished with paint by Holysseus Fly. . The challenge and pleasure for us was reinterpreting Aphex Twin for a live guitar trio. Originally the Aphex set was just another in our Reworks series, part of our weekly residency at The Gallimaufry in Bristol. But, after the overwhelmingly positive response it felt necessary to document it in some way. . We interpreted the track with our own post rock and mathy influences, never aiming to match the beautiful intricacy of the Aphexs production, but rather trying to replicate that energy with human imperfection. . .
