Not even close: Judge rejects Parkland shooters demand for mistrial over comment from gallery

The judge presiding over the Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz s death penalty sentencing phase flatly rejected an attempt by Cruz s attorneys to get a mistrial based on a comment from the gallery during proceedings. While video of the shooting was being played for jurors, someone in the gallery yelled turn it off and was removed from the courtroom. The judge said the person was so far from the jury that it s not even close to grounds for a mistrial.
