BFI Flipside s latest rediscovery is Eclipse, a film practically unseen since a limited cinema release in 1977. In Simon Perrys eerie, atmospheric psychological thriller, Tom Conti (Oppenheimer, Slade in Flame) stars as a bereaved brother troubled by memories of his twin, who he saw die at sea. Strange and unsettling in the tradition of the best Flipsides, Eclipsenow finds safe harbour on Bluray disc for the first time worldwide, in a new scan made from the bestavailable 35mm archival materials.
