Conversation Pieces: Late Edition Aardman Animations ( Short Film)

In the newsroom of a local paper journalists and editors vie for space and attention in their next publication. The animation reveals the camaraderie and rivalry that go handinhand with the drama of going to press. Commissioned by Channel 4 in 1982, Conversation Pieces allowed Peter Lord and Dave Sproxton to develop ideas aimed at a more sophisticated, adult audience. The 5minute shorts also gave birth to a device that has become an Aardman trademark matching animated characters to reallife dialogue
