Phillips de Pury, BRIC Art Focus 2010

In April 2010, Phillips de Pury Company held the first auction to take place at London s Saatchi gallery. Entitled BRIC, the auction took its name from the acronym coined by Goldman Sachs chief economist, Jim O Neill, and offered cuttingedge contemporary art works from the emerging markets: Brazil, Russian, India and China. The exhibition opened with a VIP event hosted by Simon de Pury, Dasha Zhukova and Sir David Tang. 600 international art lovers, were entertained by an acoustic set by Nitin Sawhney
