The two fishermen are in love with two florist assistants:in order to impress them, they pass themselves off as wealthy industrialists, sardines cannery millionaires; as the girls do not want to be outdone by them, they claim to be movie stars. They learn that their suitors are not what they are supposed to be:infuriated by that imposture, they ask a wealthy old graybeard who woos them to order a huge quantity of canned sardines from the would be industrialists.
