The vocals were buried in places and the overall sound doesn t fit in with the rest of Queen s music (not even Freddie s solo stuff). So with the help of the fantastic technology available to us in 2022, I ve constructed a new version consisting of the instrumentals from Freddie Mercury s solo version, and vocals from the leaked Gold Mix. This project was supposed to be nothing more than an experiment with the UVR Vocal Remover, but I was surprised with the result and had to share it I d like to imagine this is how the song would ve sounded if Freddie kept Michael around during the Mr. Bad Guy sessions. Really enjoy the crisp vocals from the Gold Mix, and the fact they aren t completely buried and compressed like the official release. Hope this serves as a nice
