Aryna Sabalenka showed off the silverware on Sunday after her successful Australian Open women s singles title defense. Dressed in white, the champion posed with the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton Gardens near the Melbourne city centre. Sabalenka clinched backtoback Australian Open titles with a 63, 62 win over Zheng Qinwen on Saturday. Sabalenka is the first woman since Victoria Azarenka in 2012 and 13 to win backtoback Australian Open titles, and the fifth since 2000 to win the championship without dropping a set.
