Nikolai Budashkin (19101988) grew up in Chita (Russian: Чита, ; Buryat: Шэтэ, Shete; Mongolian: Чит, Chit) which is a city and the administrative center of Zabaykalsky Krai, Russia. located at the confluence of the Chita and Ingoda Rivers and on the TransSiberian Railway, 900 kilometers (560 mi) east of Irkutsk.
