Arthur Alexander You re The Reason ( Dot) 1962
Written by Bobby Edwards, Fred Henley, Mildred Imes and Terry Fell. Arranged by Jim Hall and produced by Noel Ball. Hailing from Sheffield, Alabama, Arthus began his recording career in 1960 with Sally Sue Brown, released on Judd, a label owned by Sam Phillips brother, Judd. Late the following year, Arthur released his next recording and own composition, You Better Move On. The disc reached, 24 on the Hot100 and the song was later covered by the Rolling Stones and the Hollies. An album followed, tagged after the hit, You Better Move On and it featured then contemporary hits such as The Wanderer and Hey Baby. Among them was this revival of a, 11 hit for Bobby Edwards in 1961. Dot released the title as the bside of another of Arthurs compositions, Go Home Girl. The disc bubbled under at, 102. We lost Arthur in 1993 and Bobby Edwards in 2012.
