The Backstage Hotel, wellknown for harboring the artists performing in the nearby pop venue De Melkweg, is now completely filled with fans that booked for this weekend a year ago. The 54 beds were soldout in 15 minutes. Fans from all over the world are present. From Australia, Korea, and Chile throughout the Americas up to the United States of America and, ofcourse, from all over Europe. Saturday evening, a show was staged at the Melkweg (at walking distance from the Backstage Hotel) with Gentle Storm and guest appearances from Ruud Jolie, Merel Bechtold, Jord Otto, Dianne van Giersbergen and Joost van den Broek. The Melkweg was soldout; more than 1200 people attended the last show of The Gentle Storm. In the hallway, the crowd was welcomed by the band Heavy Hoempa.
