Wikidata + Books Workshop

In this, EveryBookItsReader workshop, we learned how to add books to Wikidata. More specifically, we learned about the, EveryBookItsReader campaign some general information about Wikidata; the way information is modeled in Wikidata (elements and properties); the power of linked data through SPARQL queries; and finally how to add a literary work Wikidata using other elements as an example and adding references to claims. This workshop was hosted on 30 March 2023, by Oregon State University s librarian campaign coorganizer, Laurie Bridges. Contents were delivered by Silvia Gutiérrez, Senior Program Officer for Libraries at the Wikimedia Foundation.
