Bespoke Walnut Indian Clubs
A friend and fellow Brazilian Jiu Jitsu player recently injured his shoulder training and asked if I could build him a set of Indian Clubs. These bowling pin shaped wooden clubs vary in size and weight and are used for developing strength and mobility. They were exceptionally popular during the health craze of the late Victorian era, used by military cadets and wellheeled ladies alike, and even appeared as a gymnastic event in the 1904 and 1932 Olympics. I used my XCarve to carve my friends initials into brass blanks that I purchased online. These clubs ended up weighing in at 4. 0 lbs and 4 lbs 3 oz.
