Do you know the story of one of the first Artificial Intelligence projects, ELIZA
ELIZA is an AI project developed in the 1960s by psychologist Joseph Weizenbaum of MIT University. It was one of the first AI programs designed to simulate human conversation, and used to study interactions between humans and computers. ELIZA was designed to mimic the style of psychotherapy, using simple answers and question redirects to help users explore their own thoughts and feelings. Although rudimentary by current standards, ELIZA is still considered an important breakthrough in the field of understanding humanmachine interactions. The ELIZA project has also spurred interest in AI technologies such as chatbots and virtual assistants. Online A bot modeled after the 1966 ELIZA chatbot. ELIZA was written at MIT by Joseph Weizenbaum between 1964 and 1966. She attempts to simulate a Rogerian psychotherapist. Talk to Eliza Online
