Unissued, unused footage dates and locations may be unknown, unclear. Hallowing ceremony at the British Cemetery in Athens, Greece. Shots of numerous graves of British soldiers, marked Unknown and Unknown British. Soldiers wander around the cemetery. Various shots of the Hallowing ceremony. Military band plays. Thousands of servicemen stand in lines stretching up to the top of the cemetery hill. Camera pans to show furled Union Jack flag hanging down from a flagpole (at half mast ). Pan across hundreds of white crosses on the graves. Two Greek orthodox priests one is probably Archbishop Damaskinos of Athens meet British clergymen and walk with them in procession to the cemetery. Service is conducted by Damaskinos and the Right Reverend WL Anderson, Bishop of Portsmouth. Soldiers with heads bent in prayer. Soldiers fire rifles into air then buglers play. After ceremony the Greek priests get into a car. Army officer says goodbye to officials. Shot of the Union Jack flag bein
