Although it was released in 1972 (late 1960s) critics say that the Immortals remained their 1960s Trve Kvlt surf sound. The album Sons of Southern Sunshine was indeed released in the 70s, even though a lot of people are spreading a bootleg version of Lifeguards from 1961. Lifeguards appeared as track, 3 on the long play and it has been said that it is one of the toughest vintage records available.
