Southend Monster Carnival (1932)
Full title reads: Southend Monster Carnival again raises another record sum for Hospitals in these hard days Southend, Wiltshire ( ) Carnival float pulled along past crowds. Carnival queen climb down from float. She is greeted by a man in a strange uniform. Flower petals are scattered in their path by young girls. A group of military buglers play as they walk. The Mayor places a medallion around the neck of the Queen of the Carnival and invests her for 1932. People in fancy dress parade and dance their way past the crowds some of them are dressed as pearly kings and queens. A brass band follows in the procession.
