Trump tariffs: Craft beer could be hit hard by aluminum tariffs
Breweries across the country are feeling a little on edge after president trump enacted a 25 percent tariff on all imported aluminum and steel last week. The Parish Brewery Company in Broussard, Louisiana uses aluminum from Canada to package their beers. The brewery produces roughly 24, 000 cans of beer a day, right now it costs about 12 cents for each aluminum can. Breweries that use stainless steel tanks to brew their beer could also be impacted by steel tariffs. There has not been a spike in aluminum prices since the new tariffs took effect, according to S P global.
