The Most Beautiful ENGLISH villages in the COTSWOLDS Part 1
Some of the most beautiful English villages can be found in the Cotswolds. This guide shows you Englands prettiest villages and historical properties from this beautiful part of England. Our 2 part guide, starts in Castle Combe, voted the prettiest village in England a number of times. Hardly changed since the 16 hundreds, this sleepy village is also famous for being the backdrop in a number of films, including Steven Spielberg s War Horse and the 1967 classic Dr Dolittle. Walking down by the river By Brook, the weaver s cottages are the highlight. Home to the local weavers back in the 15th century, they were highly skilled craftsman men and women and held high status in the village. Castle Combe For a stately home visit, try Dyrham Park, part of the National Trust collection, this 17th century home and deer parkland has much to offer on a day out for all the family. The grounds are extensive and fallow deer roam the parklands, so keep an eye out for them. Created by
