Wang Yao teaches at Xian Jiaotong University and is a visiting scholar at UC Riverside. She earned her BS in Atmospheric Science, MA in Film Studies and PhD in Comparative Literature at Peking University. She is the author of Coordinates of the Future: Discussions on Chinese Science Fiction in the Age of Globalization (in Chinese, 2019).
