Twin Peaks: The Grandson and Grandmother

This theory concerns the Tremonds. We believe that the grandson is some form, representation of Leland Palmer. The mask represents BOB. It is worn when BOB is in control of the host. Addition: Also note how the boy is seen wearing the mask only at a time when Laura is not aware that BOB is Leland. After she has begun to suspect this the boy no longer wears the mask.
