SlateDB is an embeddable keyvalue store built from the ground up leveraging the strengths of object stores such as S3, Azure Blob Storage and Google cloud storage. In this talk we will get into the internals of how SlateDB leverages properties of object stores such as conditional writes and describe how features such as checkpoints, writeable clones, transactions, remote compaction are built.
