Picette Arent They Wonderful (1946)
Full title reads: Pathe Picette presents Aren t They Wonderful Compilation of quirky stories, probably for younger audiences (stories all originally from New Pictorials). Shropshire. Two spaniel dogs lie in a field as lots of rabbits run past. Shot and Cherry are gun dogs in training at the Caledonian Gun Dogs University. A young boy and his grandfather (Mr McDonald) set out across fields with the dogs then Mr McDonald sets about training the dogs to retrieve. A dummy bird is thrown into the air, the boy fires a shot and the dog is sent to pick up the pretend bird. We then see the dog retrieving a shot bird from a lake. It looks like a pheasant.
