Valerie The Week of Wonders Ships On The Clyde 1984
Valerie The Week of Wonders, were conceived at Glasgow School of Art in the early 80 s by Gerry Burns (now the leading Scottish artist Gerard M. Burns) Brian McFie (subsequently The Big Dish Marianne Faithfull Band) and were joined by Greg Kane (subsequently Hue Cry) Ewan McFie. Signed to A M Records Rondor Publishing, Ships On The Clyde, recorded at Palladium Studios, Edinburgh, 1984, was produced by Bobby Henry engineered by Jon Turner Gordon Rintoul. It was produced and directed in this video format by Jim Gillespie ( I Know What You Did Last Summer, DTox, Venom ) and featured in a 1985 Old Grey Whistle Test video competition for unsigned bands, judged by Kevin Godley Lol Crème.
