Geneviève de Galard se souvient de Dien Bien Phu
L Ange de Dien Bien Phu, c est ainsi que certains surnomment encore Geneviève de Galard, l infirmière de l armée de l air. Durant les deux mois (marsmai 1954) de la f éroce bataille qui signa la défaite de la France en Indochine, la convoyeuse de l air, clouée au sol après la prise du terrain d aviation par les combattants Viêt Minh du général Giap, s activait sur les soldats blessés de l Union Française. Pour son courage et son dévouement, le président des Etats Unis, Dwight Eisenhower la décora de la Medaille de la Liberté. Je l ai rencontré le 1er février dernier à Paris, au Centre de formation aéronautique de la CroixRouge Française grâce à Amou AckbaralyBock (photo), responsable pédagogique des formations sécurité des futurs personnels navigants commerciaux.
