Half Life ( PS2) Toilet Scientists Conversation Easter Egg

Part of my HalfLife Fact Files series: This is a demonstration of an Easter egg that exists only in the PlayStation 2 version of HalfLife involving the two scientists you find sitting in the restroom stalls in the map c1a0d, better known as the game s beginning Anomalous Materials chapter. In this port, Gearbox added a number of humorous conversations between these two scientists which do not occur in the PC version. You normally hear three different dialogues repeating. However, there is a hidden fourth conversation that only plays once every five minutes. This video exhibits all four possible chats. Credit to Barnz for pointing this out to me plus providing the map s entity data and Hoaxer for making the tools that made it possible. Note: Due to a scripting error, a part of the secret Easter egg exchange overlaps with one of the normal chats. My annotations indicate the correct lines that are supposed to play.
