The lantern slides serve not only as a reference to Queen Victoria and to the Victorian eras sense of Britishness and Empire , but also provide Anne ReesMogg the opportunity to make a work with precinematic artefacts; the discovery of cinematography is an ongoing preoccupation in her work.
