Its always been easier to keep quiet. I d say what I assumed people wanted to hear or I d say nothing at all. It was a safety precaution, it gave me some sense of control. But being in isolation both during the pandemic and throughout the creation of this album unveiled just how lost I had become. I had lost who I was because I was afraid of being anyone at allin trying to keep myself safe, I was only hurting myself more. I wanted this song to open my album because the songs that follow are full of things Ive been afraid to say. I had to let go of my fears of judgment, vulnerability, and peoples expectationsmusic gave me a voice. Breaking from those molds has been a slow process, but everything feels easier when you let go of what you cant control. I have no control of peoples perceptions, so I made this album for me, and anybody else whos willing to listen. Heres everything Ive never said.
