Abstract: Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) has become the first choice for treatment of dysplastic Barrett s. RFA is indicated for flat highgrade dysplasia and for eradication of residual Barrett s after endoscopic resection of any visible lesion containing highgrade dysplasia or an early mucosal cancer. RFA has a high success rate for eradication of dysplasia in 95 of patients. Eradication of intestinal metaplasia can be obtained in approximately 80 of patients.
