A further recording of Max Rosen. The piano accompaniment is by Richard Wilens, who Rosen had met as a child while studying in Berlin. Max Rosen (19001956) was born Max Rosenzweig in Romania but came to the United States when he was very young. His father gave him his first instruction in the violin, and thereafter he studied with a number of teachers in New York before commencing study in 1912 (in Dresden and later in Oslo) with the famous violinist and teacher Leopold Auer.
