EXERCISE COOPERATIVE LONGBOW, LANCER 2009 IN GEORGIA

A platoon of Ukrainian troops practices basic field medic skills and then evacuates wounded personnel to a Georgian H1 helicopter. Casualty evacuation operations were overseen by Greek special forces instructors during Exercise Cooperative Lancer 2009. The exercise, held in Georgia, provides smallunit training in patrolling procedures, vehicle search techniques, improvised explosive device detection, interacting with the civilian population, and the law of armed conflict.
