No Reply features John and George on their acoustic J160s. George s part seems to be electrified while John s is miked from the sound hole. Their two parts blend so well together despite this difference making it extremely difficult to tell the two apart. After many rewrites, I transcribed what I believe each is doing but will never be 100 confident. One thing I would do differently, is to have a thicker high E string on George s part specifically, but it wouldn t hurt John s sound either. When George plays the top E string along with the rest of the chord, it really rings and stands on top of the mix.
